Information:
Meal Composition Guidelines:
- The meals and dessert will provide no
less than one full serving of at least 3 food groups based on the Canada's
Food Guide to Health Eating.
- The menu will provide a variety of
protein and vegetable choices
- Starches will be primarily from
potatoes, with pasta and rice offered occasionally.
- Desserts will be primarily from the
milk product and fruit groups, with occasional "other" foods desserts offered
for increased client enjoyment.
- Milk containing desserts will be
offered at least twice per week.

Food Safety Standards:
- Food preparation, handling, and
packaging conform to the safety standards of the Provincial Government.
- Delivery equipment conforms to
provincial safety standards.
- Containers used are safe and
appropriate for food, and are in accordance with provincial licensing
standards.
- Food is maintained at a temperature
that is in accordance with provincial standards until it is delivered to the
recipient.
